Carpenter Animal Hospital is dedicated to practicing compassionate veterinary medicine focused on optimizing the health of our patients and the service provided to our clients.  We are pleased and proud to offer progressive medical, surgical, and dental services

  • Comprehensive preventative health care:  We are committed to your pet's health and longevity.  We offer:
    • Comprehensive physical exams and labwork to detect problems early
    • Vaccination protocols based on the most current and progressive recommendations set forth by leaders in the field
    • Screening and preventative care for parasites that can threaten your pet's as well as your family's health.
  • Extensive medical diagnostics:  both in-house and outsourced to top veterinary medical laboratories.
  • Surgery:  We perform routine as well as nonroutine general surgery and selected orthopedic procedures in our state-of-the-art surgical suite
  • Anesthesia:  We implement the most current and safest anesthetic protocols that be can tailored to the specific needs of your pet, particularly if he or she is an elderly or high-risk patient.  Our excellent, experienced veterinary technicians also monitor all our anesthetized patients with the most modern equipment available.
  • Radiology:  We are pleased to offer direct digital radiology to provide our doctors with the most information possible to aid in the diagnosis of many conditions.  Our radiology suite is one of only a handful in North Carolina to employ the most technologically advanced X-ray modality available to veterinary patients.  We also work with a veterinary radiologist in the area to provide ultrasound.
  • Dentistry:  Our dental services provide early diagnosis of periodontal disease and other disorders of the oral cavity, extensive charting, scaling, polishing, and sealing of the teeth.  Our doctors and technicians are trained in modern techniques of extractions and oral surgery.
  • Referrals:  We are lucky to work closely with many veterinary specialists who are renowned in their fields as well as with excellent emergency services.  If we feel your pet's needs would be best served by employing the expertise of one of our colleagues, we will be happy to make a referral.
  • Bathing:  Routine and therapeutic bathing services are available.
  • Drop off service:  To better serve you and your pet, we offer drop-off services to allow diagnostics, monitoring, and treatments to take place throughout the day.
